Hi there Coachmen owners. Today on your 2015 Coachmen Mirada, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install a Roadmaster's rear anti-sway bar, and this is what our sway bar looks like when it's installed. The Roadmaster rear sway bar is designed to work in conjunction with your factory sway bar. This is our factory sway bar located here just on the other side of the axle. You can kind of see it dipping down just a little bit right here. What's great about this kid is that we get to keep all the benefits that the factory sway bar gives us, but we get to add additional anti-sway onto it by putting another bar here just behind the axle. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2019 Coachmen Pursuit Motorhome- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar on our 2019 Coachmen Pursuit. So before having the rear sway bar installed, we're gonna take this out on our test course and see what we're kinda looking at as far as not having a sway bar installed and later we're gonna come back and take a look with it installed, to see the difference. Now, we're gonna go over a few bumps which, with the sway bar, you're really not gonna notice too much of a difference. It might tighten the suspension up a little as it goes over maybe, off centered bumps, but as far as like your straight speed bumps shouldn't really cause an issue because as the rear sway bar moves up and down, it's not really affecting it too much. Now, I've installed sway bars before on vehicles. more

Now what our steering stabilizer's going to do for us is it is going to help stabilize the steering wheel. Because you haven't noticed whenever you're driving your motorhome down the road, if we hit a rut in the road, or if there's a big crosswind, we end up fighting the steering wheel, trying to keep it straight; especially if we're on the highway, there's a little bit of a crown. Today in your 2020 Coachman Mirada, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Reflex Steering Stabilizer.We're now going to take it out on our test course. The biggest section that I expect you're going to notice a difference in here is going to be on the uneven bump section, because that somewhat simulates a pothole. It's a little bit the opposite of how a pothole is. It's going to be raised, rather than a sunken hole. But it should still cause our steering wheel to want to go one direction or the other, since only one wheel is going to be hitting that obstruction.This is some pretty sturdy suspension on here already, so it doesn't really seem to be affecting it too much here on our test course.Now we're going to head into the slalom section, where this is where you're going to be able to see our stabilizer working really well, as far as bringing the steering wheel back to center. more

Hi there RV owners. Today on our 2019 Coachman Pursuit motorhome, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer. And this is what our steering stabilizer's going to look like when it's installed. It attaches to the axle on the U bolts on one side, and to the tie rod on the other side. All of the brackets and hardware that you need to get it installed do come included with our kit here. Speaker 1: Today in this 2017 Coachman Leprechaun motorhome with a Ford E450 chassis, we're going to be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar, Part Number RM-1139-147.If we have a look at our factory sway bar, the sway bar that we're putting on today is designed to replace this one. We can see how inadequate this one is. It's actually fairly thin for a vehicle this size. It's also hallow, which makes it less rigid than a solid one that we're putting on. So we're going to have more body roll and more flex out of it.Here is what a replacement Roadmaster sway bar looks like installed. If you notice, this is a very substantial sway bar, which is really going to help minimize our body roll and side to side movement of our motorhome as you're driving down the road. more

Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2017 Coachmen Leprechaun Motorhome- Video

Speaker 1: Today, in this 2017 Coachmen Leprechaun motor home, on a Ford E-450 chassis, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster front anti-sway bar, part number RM-1139-176.We have a look under the front of our RV, and look up at our factory sway bar here, you can see how small in diameter it is. By being a small diameter, it's not going to be very rigid. And this isn't going to help us too much in minimizing the side-to-side movement of the motor home as we drive down the road. So, also it would tend to lead us to have a little bit more body roll than what we would like to have.We hold up our replacement sway bar to it, you can see how much thicker in diameter it is. This will make it more rigid, and will help to minimize the amount of body roll and side-to-side movement we're going to have as we drive down the road, giving us the stability and safety that we're looking for.Now, here's what our replacement sway bar looks like, installed. As you'll notice, it definitely is a significant upgrade over our factory sway bar and utilizes the same mounting location and end lengths, which makes it for a quick and easy install.Many of our customers, even a year later, have stated that they have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of body roll they experience from going around corners or going over bumps, giving them a smoother and safer ride. more

Here's what our steering stabilizer looks like installed. Now the reason you're going to want a steering stabilizer for your motor home is simply because it makes it a lot easier for you drive it. It's also going to provide you with a lot safer conditions as you're driving as well. When you're going over bumps or uneven pavement, that can cause your wheels to jerk side to side because they are connected via your tie rod system. So if you hit a bump on the right hand side, it could push your passenger front wheel to the left, which would also push your driver's side wheel to the left, causing your vehicle to go to the left. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Coachman Pursuit on the Ford F-53 chassis we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar. Part number is RM-1139-146.Now here's what our sway bar's going to look like installed. Now the need for a sway bar comes from motor homes just like what we've got here. They have higher centers of gravity, so as we're traveling down the road we get a crosswind that wants to tip the top of our RV side to side. Uneven pavement, ruts in the road, there's several symptoms like you're passing semis that start that sway in your coach. With our upgraded sway bar in place, we get a connection point from our axle right here up to the frame. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 1999 Coachmen Mirada- Video

Speaker 1: Today, on this 1999 Coachmen Mirada Moterhome, we'll be having a look at and showing you to how to install the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizers for workhorse P-series chassis motorhomes, Part #RM-RSSCP30. With our steering stabilizer installed, we're going to notice several things happening behind the wheel as we're driving our motorhome. One being, as we're traveling down the road, a crosswind situation via it be from wind blowing across the highway or a passing semi truck, we're not gonna be fighting the steering wheel quite as much to keep us straight. The steering stabilizer will give us the effect of having the wheel staying more straight as we're tracking true and straight down the road. Also, as we encounter ruts in the highway, we won't be fighting the wheel as much of having the tires try to follow the ruts. It'll pass over them easier and you won't have this going on as your driving. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Coachmen Pursuit we're gonna take a look at and show you how to install the Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar for Motor Homes, part number is RM-1139-140.Now the Roadmaster sway bar upgrade is definitely one that you'll notice when you have it installed. We're going from a smaller, lower quality factory sway bar, which for most applications is probably gonna be okay for your box trucks and things like that where you're not adding a tremendous amount of weight regularly to the top. They probably do their job pretty effectively, but once this chassis hits a motor home company like this they start adding all this weight which is also kind of higher weight, a little bit more high center than it would be like lower weight. Then that sway bar really isn't adequate. That's gonna lead to some body roll as you're cornering, as your maneuvering, as you hit uneven pavement the top of that RV is gonna go side to side. When it does that it changes the pressure that we have pushing down on the tires and really can make it difficult to drive especially in a cross wind that's kind of variable. more
